CUMULUS MEDIA | WASHINGTON DC is looking for enthusiastic, energetic and talented Part-Time News Assistants to write and edit news stories, load content onto a busy news website and to edit audio for use in radio newscasts.

CUMULUS | WASHINGTON DC is currently home to two active news/talk brands broadcasting to the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area: WMAL 105.9 FM – Where Washington Comes To Talk, and WSBN-AM – ESPN 630 DC – The Sports Capitol. At CUMULUS WASHINGTON DC we strive to hire passionate, driven, resourceful, problem solvers who can drive the evolving, diverse culture of the Power of Radio to success.
105.9 FM WMAL Radio in looking for candidates with excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a solid knowledge of current local and national news stories.
This part-time position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate who is looking to make some money and quickly build a resume while working in a newsroom among seasoned professionals.

Qualifications:
- Some news experience and solid web skills are highly desired, but not essential
- Experience working in Wordpress is a plus
- Candidates should also have some experience with digital audio and photo software
- Work hours are somewhat flexible to fit a school schedule, but we are currently looking to fill both morning and afternoon shifts. Please note – this is a paid job, NOT an internship. As such, employees are expected to work through school breaks
