Project/Subject: Warehousing Customer Service Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interacts in a good working relationship with customers and carriers by responding to all inquiries and concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and effective manner. Exceed customer expectations by providing accurate and timely information, detailed follow-up, and outstanding customer service.
  • Manage and respond to in-bound and out-bound calls, emails, online orders, and inbound shipments.
  • Maintain and organize delivery driver paperwork.
  • Schedule deliveries.
  • Build trust and a positive relationship with internal customers and carriers through communication and follow-up.
  • Provides follow-up to other departments to ensure service standards are being met.
  • Provide accurate and timely information by using the correct methods, processes, and tools.
  • Maintain information regarding Safety and Production KPIs to include consistent reporting on KPIs.
  • Organize and maintain safety and training records.
  • Assist as needed with shipments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong customer service skills via phone, email, and in-person using active listening skills.
  • Flexible communication style and ability to respond to different customer personalities, maintaining professional demeanor always, respective of temperament.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to details and work accuracy is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, as well as other software programs and tools needed to perform essential job functions.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of High-School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Proven customer support experience, or experience as a client service representative preferred.
  • Track record of exceeding required tasks and/or goals.
  • Prior warehouse experience helpful

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This job operates in a warehouse office setting.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets.
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear/listen.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Work in a production environment with some level of noise.
  • Required to stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and/or feet.
  • Lift/carry up to 25 lbs.(pounds) and reach with hands and arms. Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 25 ft.
  • walking in and around safety sensitive equipment.
  • Load design and math equations to develop load consolidation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
