We are a business news website looking for four experienced Journalists with professional background in reporting news. The journalist MUST have studied Journalism, English, or Media and Communication at a university level and at least two years of professional experience as a reporter covering news in various industries.
What are we looking for? We want reporters who can cover ongoing trending business, entertainment, technology, and political news that are telling original and viral stories relevant to the UK and US audiences to bring traffic to our site.
- The Business Reporter will be covering, but not limited to, trending news about personal finance, retail, SMEs, economy, markets, sustainability, and real estate.
- The Entertainment Reporter will be covering, but not limited to, ongoing trending news regarding travel, sports, celebrities, video games, movies/TV series/shows, and the Royal Family.
- The Political Reporter will cover, but not limited to, ongoing trending news on politics, international relations, current affairs, and general international topics.
- The Technology Reporter will cover, but not limited to, ongoing trending and viral news about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, Big Tech, fintech (blockchain/crypto), and electric vehicles.
The reports must have knowledge of SEO best practices and can utilize tools like Semrush to use the right keywords to reach more people. Each writer must commit to 2-3 articles per day (50 articles a month) and hit a target of 100k views per month (2k views per article).
We are ONLY accepting applicants with an educational background in journalism and prior professional experience (at least TWO years). You must include a few links to your previously published articles in your application and a cover letter. Please take note that applicants without either WILL NOT be considered.
Benefits include working from home and flexible working hours. However, we do expect 2-3 articles per day covering news that is trending worldwide
Salary: This is a freelance position paying up to PHP.340.00 per 600-word article, which equates to $6 per 600-word article.
