Cyrus Rugs is a medium size privately owned business that has been operating for 30 years. With 18 stores around QLD & NSW we are a leading rug retailer. We are currently looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team and help run our store located in Gold Coast. Our Head Office is seeking an assistant operations manager and sales assistant to join our team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role requires you to assist in the day to day operations of the store.

The responsibilities of this position could include, but is not limited to:

· General administrative duties

· Greeting customers and assisting with sales where necessary

· Assisting in day to day management and operations of a rug store/warehouse.

· The distribution and dispatch of the rugs to the other stores and customers, as well as responsibilities associated with stationery control, ordering and maintenance

· Generating, processing, analysing, actioning and filing of reports

· Data entry and stock taking

· Awareness of WH&S requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

You will provide supervision, direction and guidance to team members and assist in the provision of on-the-job training.

We require somebody with a strong work ethic, good numerical skills, pays attention to detail and is physically fit.

Desired skills and knowledge;

- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, MYOB & possible Shopify
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of sound customer service principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).

- Good computer skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time while paying attention to detail and applying a high level of accuracy to data entry and reporting.
- Highly self-motivated and the ability to work effectively as part of a team effort or autonomously.

In addition to the salary, we also pay bonuses on sales based on a daily, weekly and monthly sale figures.

To be successful in this role, you MUST have minimum 2 years experience in sales/ retail.
