What will you do?
As Head of Controlling, you will play a pivotal role in developing and driving financial processes such as project controlling, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and ensuring the stability and growth of our organization.
Further in this role you will be responsible for the planning, analysis, and control of financial activities relating to projects etc., performance updates to optimize our financial resources and support strategic decision-making.
You will be reporting directly to our CFO and be part of the Finance, IT & Procurement Management team. Further you will be leading a team of 5-6 skilled colleagues.
Your tasks will also include:
- Responsibility for execution of the Controlling strategy and ensure that the right resources and competencies are in place to ensure high quality and a professional approach to all Controlling aspects.
- Drive various projects to improve and reduce non-value adding activities with focus on continuously developing people, work relationships and systems.
- Lead, motivate and develop your direct reports and set direction together with the Finance Management team.
- Drive and deliver Management reporting, the closing and consolidation process, ensuring thorough review and controlling of projects.
- Translation of figures into accurate and value-adding reporting to the Executive Management and other senior stakeholders
How will you be successful
We are looking for candidates with business acumen and a solid financial background, including experience with a range of different financial activities. You might be an experienced people manager already, or this could be your first direct leadership role. You can lead with empathy, set direction, and show the way, hands on.
Importantly, you have an analytical mindset and strong systems knowledge and interest to continuously develop and challenge our systems landscape and processes. Like us, you value teamwork and enjoy building a strong team around you.
The ideal candidate possesses some or all the following qualifications:
- Hold a relevant finance/economics degree.
- You probably have +5 years working experience in a business controlling or finance business partner function.
- Ability to build trust in finance and support a business with a highly entrepreneurial culture to achieve its maximum potential.
- Strong people management skills and interest
- Strong systems skills - BI knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience with a broad range of financial activities.
As our corporate language is English, it is essential that you are proficient in both spoken and written English.
