The purpose of this role is to provide ongoing oversight of portfolio management activities undertaken by the delegated portfolio managers in line with Lux circular 18-698 and local market practices. BNYMFM oversees Investment Funds (mainly UCITS) managed by internal portfolio management companies.
In collaboration with the Conducting Officer in charge of the PM function and the other Portfolio Oversight Officer, you may perform the following tasks:
- Assist with the collation, generation and analysis of portfolio management data for the funds and portfolios operated and managed by MFM Luxembourg and preparing summary reports for the relevant internal committees and funds’ Board meetings.
- Maintain the investment restriction guidelines log and follow-up on UCITS breaches
- Assist with the ongoing enhancement of the portfolio management oversight framework, analysis tools and reporting and assist in the corporate Asset Management project to develop portfolio management oversight and reporting.
- Build strong working relationships with non Lux colleagues to leverage the overall strategic relationship with BNYM Investment oversight team.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and new fund launches; and help maintaining Policies and Procedures;
- support the monitoring of fund ESG characteristics in line with SFDR requirements
- coordinate and analyse monitoring tools such as quarterly KPIs and annual confirmations Present and report to Management committees and boards
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the department.
- Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.
- Notify management and/or Compliance immediately of any regulatory breach. Comply with health and safety policies and procedures operating within the business.
