JOIN US TO OPEN THE HILTON GARDEN INN BRUSSELS AIRPORT
In view of the upcoming opening of the Hotel and the first restaurant Babette in Belgium, we are recruiting an Executive Housekeeper who will be responsible to oversee and ensure overall cleanliness of the hotel in accordance with the Hotel, and Corporate standards while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation. Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests, and to ensure that all guest experiences are distinctively supreme.

Essential and supportive functions :
- Select, train, supervise, schedule, develop, discipline, conduct performance appraisals, and counsel team members according to our policies and procedure to ensure to have a great team focusing on the overall cleanliness of the Hotel.
- Coordinate with GM and Technical Manager in the repair and maintenance program as it relates to guest rooms and public areas.
- Maintain inventory of guest rooms and housekeeping supplies including all month end inventories. Maintain lost and found log.
- Purchase all basic cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
- Monitor payroll hours and reports and complete reports (ie, forecasts, annual budgets, plans and action, etc.)
- Ensure property operation meets internal audit standards.
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards and promote team member empowerment.
- Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments, team members and guests.
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Participate in Manager on Duty coverage program.
- Attends, as well as schedules and conducts departmental meetings.
Profil recherché
You must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that you can perform the essential functions of the job.
You have high level of leadership and service excellence as core expectations.
You have two years prior housekeeping management experience in the hotel industry, or you are ready to take up your first Manager role of the Housekeeping Department. You enjoy and work as a Team. You have some excellent communication skills. You are dynamic and like the challenges to exceed targets. You always seek for a great service with your heart. You want to build a strong Team and a great place to work.
You are ready to step up the challenges you may face during the pre-opening process and you want to add an opening experience to your CV. A prior hotel opening experience is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of hotel & restaurant cleanliness and ability to train staff in areas of customer satisfaction and safety. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills required. Computer literacy and basic financial required. Ability to resolve guest, supervisor and team member conflicts.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods such as layovers following delayed/cancelled flights (as an airport hotel) which result to a high number of unexpected Guests to immediately accommodate.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
