Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Front of House Manager to join our high-end dining establishment. As the Junior Front of House Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, overseeing the dining experience, and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant. Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by leading and inspiring the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service to all guests. Address any customer concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

2. Staff Supervision and Training: Assist in training and supervising the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, service standards, and ensure a cohesive team environment.

3. Floor Management: Manage the dining room floor during service, ensuring smooth operations, efficient table turnovers, and timely service delivery. Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain a seamless flow of food and beverages.

4. Reservations and Seating: Oversee the reservation system, manage seating arrangements, and accommodate special requests while optimizing table turnover and capacity.

5. Upselling and Revenue Generation: Encourage staff to upsell menu items and promote special offers to increase revenue. Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and drive customer loyalty.

6. Quality Control: Monitor food presentation and service quality to ensure it meets the restaurant's high standards. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

7. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe dining environment for both customers and staff. Address any potential hazards or violations immediately.

8. Inventory Management: Assist in managing and controlling inventory, including beverages, tableware, and supplies. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely restocking.

9. Reporting: Assist in tracking and reporting daily sales, tips, and other financial transactions. Work closely with the management team to analyse performance and implement strategies for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in an upscale dining establishment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities to motivate and inspire the front-of-house team.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards, fine dining etiquette, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in PILOT point-of-sale systems is a plus.
  • A passion for delivering top-notch customer service and a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.


Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications or relevant courses in hospitality management are desirable.
