The Role

The SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shell’s business & assets around the world.

The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment, and Asset Management.

Purpose & Accountabilities:

It is a Leadership role specialized in Portfolio & Resource Volume Information Analysis. The purpose of this role is to support Deepwater Portfolio Analysis Team with diverse subsurface analysis products.

In this role, you will be expected to build, coach, and sustain a high performing team that can support project teams with analysis of complex data types, which serve as an input for activities like tracking project investment performance and production enhancement opportunities. This role will have up to 12 staff based in multiple geographies, with potential for growth. The role will also need to coach and guide the technical specialists.

  • Work closely with Portfolio Lead to analyze and support business deliverables

  • Collaboratively solve strategic problems of varying content and complexity across the Deepwater (DW) asset

  • Lead knowledge transfer in Assets on resources/reserves reporting and compliance with company internal guidelines/checks

  • Track the quality of deliverables within the agreed cost and timeline and resolve if any quality issues/complains raised by stakeholders in a satisfactory and timely manner

  • Capability in integrating different data types such as subsurface reservoir studies

  • Working with multiple stakeholders, tools, and workflows

  • Analyzing and providing most reliable data on time for various review processes

  • Demystify the process complexity and identify simplification opportunities

Skills & Requirements

  • University degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering or relevant

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in related business domains

  • Highly technical (Subsurface & Wells) and expansive business knowledge and acumen needed to set direction and make improvement

  • Technical writing - maintain and create new work instructions

  • Ability to manage own time, prioritize effectively over a diversity of workload

  • Understanding of opportunity development process and project economics

  • Natural curiosity, passion to learn and active desire to expand knowledge base (internally and externally) in the evolving space of finance and economics

  • Structured approach in setting up a new service and strong change management

  • Strong aptitude for learner mindset

  • Ability to maintain relationship with stakeholders/senior management through virtual work with limited travel options
